Full story
For generations, the Moonlit Kingdom has been trapped between two neighboring powers. To end the conflict, Princess Elara is promised to Prince Lucien in a political marriage. She has been raised to believe her greatest value is as a bridge between kingdoms, not as a ruler in her own right.
During the wedding preparations, Kael—exiled heir to the rival realm—secretly enters the capital in search of records that could clear his family’s name. He and Elara cross paths and begin investigating sealed royal archives together. What they find changes the balance of power: an old prophecy and bloodline record indicate that neither male heir holds the strongest legal claim to the Moon Crown. Elara does.
Once all three kingdoms recognize the political significance of her identity, Elara’s marriage stops being a peace arrangement and becomes the center of a succession struggle. Lucien complicates matters further: he has known part of the truth for years and kept silent because revealing it could have made Elara a target. The story ultimately follows Elara’s evolution from a princess being arranged into peace to a ruler capable of defining both love and power on her own terms.
