In this record
Originality needs a substantive contribution
In March 2026, Meta clarified that creator-produced content counts as original on Facebook, while copying someone else’s post with only minor changes can reduce distribution. Repeatedly publishing primarily unoriginal material can also affect recommendation and monetization. This is not a blanket rejection of AI production; the announcement does not establish a special acquisition offer for AI dramas.
The surrounding post matters too
Facebook’s anti-spam announcement targets tactics such as unrelated captions and coordinated artificial engagement. It describes potential limits on reach and monetization. For a drama publisher, that makes the text around a clip part of the release decision: an engaging caption should still correspond to the scene the audience actually sees.
Prepare evidence before there is a dispute
We suggest keeping a compact authorship folder for each AI series: the script draft, selected storyboard, final timeline, voice permissions and a list of externally licensed assets. This is a production-management recommendation, not a platform-mandated application form. It lets the team explain its own contribution when a copied upload, mistaken match or partner question appears. Keep the record for each localised version as well; translation can change the credits and the assets used.
Before publishing, make sure the episode number, thumbnail and caption tell the same story. Invite viewers to discuss a character’s choice instead of manufacturing engagement. Treat any monetization decision as separate from the first successful upload, and check the actual account’s eligibility. Nothing in the sources supplies a fixed payout, minimum purchase commitment or universal acceptance rule for AI short drama, so those commercial questions need a separate conversation.
