Read the current examples
YouTube’s current monetization page gives a useful distinction: recurring characters can be acceptable when episodes offer different stories, while repetitive AI templates with little creative variation can fail its standards. It also lists an invented character and narrative visualised with AI as an example of creative value. These examples describe eligibility principles, not approval of an individual channel.
Disclosure is a different check
YouTube separately requires disclosure for realistic material that AI meaningfully generates or alters. Its help page says making that disclosure does not itself reduce monetization eligibility. A labelled video must still satisfy the other applicable policies. Conversely, omitting a label does not turn a generic, repeated production into an original series.
Review a season, not only a hero clip
Our editorial suggestion is to compare several consecutive episodes before scheduling a batch. Write one sentence for the new conflict, choice and consequence in each episode. If changing the character names leaves the same scene and ending every time, the team has identified a storytelling problem worth fixing before release. A consistent visual identity can support a series without making every episode structurally identical.
Keep notes showing how scripts, performances, images and edits developed. Review the actual finished sequence, rather than counting how many prompts or revisions were used. This exercise is a quality-control aid, not a formula for passing a platform review. Before forecasting revenue, confirm the channel’s programme access, rights position and status in YouTube Studio. The policy does not provide an AI-drama purchase price or guarantee that every generated scene is commercially eligible.

What remains unclear
Channel approval and expected earnings cannot be inferred from examples; the current page has undated additions beyond its July 2025 change notice.
