A release button is not a revenue agreement
For an AI short-drama project, “getting online” can mean publishing through a creator account or reaching a content-licensing agreement with a platform. These are different transactions. YouTube says creators must apply and be accepted into its Partner Program to earn through the programme; it reviews channels against its policies. Its AI-disclosure guidance also says disclosure itself does not reduce monetisation eligibility. That statement is not a promise that a particular series will earn money.
A rights conversation starts with what can be licensed
DramaBox’s official business page provides a distribution contact specifically for people who own rights to a short drama. The page establishes a way to start a rights discussion, but not a universal AI acceptance policy or a standard purchase offer. This contrast helps frame the first decision: are you ready to operate a channel and develop an audience, or are you offering a defined set of rights in a finished project to a potential partner?
Use a short project brief to compare the routes
Our editorial recommendation is to record the project stage, language versions, available episodes, production method and rights position before choosing a route. For a channel-led release, plan packaging, posting and audience feedback, then check the current platform rules. For a licensing conversation, identify the territories, term, exclusivity and promotional uses you can offer. Treat all payments as unconfirmed until the relevant monetisation approval or commercial agreement exists.
These examples are not a ranking or a recommendation that either service suits every AI drama. The same project can require different edits and permissions in different contexts. A useful next conversation starts with your current position and goal, not with an assumed subsidy or guaranteed launch. Keep the synopsis private when you need a project-specific discussion of platform fit.
